St. Boniface Registered Nurses’ Alumni Association

Estote Fideles, St. Boniface Hospital Registered Nurses’ Alumni Association

Faithful to their school motto, Estote Fideles (Be Faithful), the first St. Boniface Hospital School of Nursing graduates quickly understood the importance of joining efforts to pursue the recognition of the profession and excellence in nursing, and founded, on January 14, 1905, the Alumnae Association of the St. Boniface Training School for Nurses. Its original mission to advance the profession of nursing and assist its members was carried out by committees. While some representatives promoted professional growth through ongoing collaborations with local, provincial and national nursing organizations, others looked after the well-being of the graduate nurses.

Although the School of Nursing closed in 1997, the Association, known today as St. Boniface Registered Nurses’ Alumni Association, still actively promotes its mission, which has remained essentially the same through the years. In this respect, this exhibition aims to preserve and disseminate the history of the School of Nursing to inspire present and future generations and recognize the work of yesterday’s and today’s nurses.

The St. Boniface Registered Nurses’ Alumni Association is open to all graduates of the St. Boniface School of Nursing. Associate members are also welcome.
