About Us

The Centre du patrimoine (Heritage Centre), managed by the Société historique de Saint-Boniface (SHSB), is an archives and research centre devoted mainly to preserving and making accessible archives documenting the Francophone and Metis experience in Western Canada and particularly in Manitoba. It houses archival collections, a reference library containing over 13,000 titles and genealogical ressources.

Hours of Operation

MONDAY to THURSDAY, 9am to 1pm and 2pm to 4.30pm.

We are CLOSED to the public from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm for lunch.

Until further notice, we are CLOSED to the public on Fridays.

In 2025, we are closed on the following holidays and commemorative days:

January 1, February 17, April 18 to April 21 (inclusively), May 19, July 1, August 4, September 1, September 30, October 13, November 11.

We will also be CLOSED for the Holidays from noon on December 24, 2025 until January 5, 2026 (inclusively).
