The archives housed at the Centre du patrimoine document all aspects of the past and present life of Manitoba’s Francophone and Métis communities. In addition to associations’ archives, the collection also includes writings, correspondence, photographs, moving images, maps and posters from individuals.
In fact, the Heritage Centre is the only provincial institution dedicated to the acquisition of French and Métis Manitoba archives. If you have materials that might be of interest to the history of Francophones and Métis in Manitoba and Western Canada, consider donating them to the Centre du patrimoine.
