Your History

The goal of this section is to raise awareness as to the existence of the unique Francophone and Métis history of Western Canada, and more particularly of the area which now is called Manitoba.

The modules and educational tools in this section also highlight the richness of the Francophone and Métis collections conserved by the Société historique de Saint-Boniface and make them more accessible to the general public.

A larger portion of the documents created for this section are currently available only on the French side of the Website. We are working to get them translated and they will be added to the list below as they become available. Thank you for your patience.

If you want to access the information as it appeared in the previous Website, you can access it through Wayback Machine – Internet Archive. Here are the links to the Au Pays de Riel and the Educational Resources sections.

Note: The PDF documents below are translations of pages from our previous Website. Apologies for any broken and missing links that originally would have lead back to now defunct pages. These PDFs were created to give temporary access to popular content, as we undertake the reconstruction of a new permanent Website.
