Make a donation to the endowment fund Fonds Centre du patrimoine at Francofonds this year and multiply your donation. A matching funds programme of Francofonds and the Société franco-manitobaine  is available until the funds have been completely  distributed. For each dollar contribution to the Centre du patrimoine fund, an additional 50¢ is added on. A donation of 100$ actually adds up to 150$. It is important to contribute now!

The Fonds Centre du patrimoine

The Fonds Centre du patrimoine, originally known as Fonds institutionnel de la Société historique de Saint-Boniface, was created in 1995 to ensure financial sustainability for the preservation and the promotion of francophone and Métis heritage in Western Canada and to meet the financial needs of the Centre du patrimoine

Objectives of the endowment fund: Support the activities of the Centre du patrimoine in the sectors of acquisition, processing, preserving and promoting francophone and Métis archives of Western Canada; support marketing activities of the Centre du patrimoine aimed at the public at large; support the special projects of the Société historique de Saint-Boniface in the fields of genealogy, research, publication and Web site development, training and capital investment. Donations are transferred to the endowment fund increasing its capital which is never used to fund projects but remains forever as endowment capital; only the generated interests are used from year to year by the Centre du patrimoine. Your donations will go a long way in ensuring the preservation and promotion of francophone and Métis heritage.

On 31 December 2013 the endowment fund was at 304 170 $.

You can contribute to the endowment fund in a number of ways :

  • contribute an annual amount to Fonds Centre du patrimoine;
  • create a Family fund with the proceeds generated going to the Fonds Centre du patrimoine;
  • contributing by planned giving to Fonds Centre du patrimoine
